Moon Time Connections

Moon Time Connections is the only national Indigenous-led period equity group supporting First Nations, Inuit and Métis (FNIM) menstruators across Turtle Island by ensuring they have access to the full spectrum of menstrual products, and by providing vital menstrual education. The same barriers affecting menstruators across the country are significantly amplified for FNIM menstruators in the north, who then face additional unique barriers to access not found in urban areas. To address period inequity in the north, Moon Time Connections is employing a multi-faceted approach which includes distributing menstrual products, providing menstrual education and undertaking research into the needs of FNIM menstruators. Since being founded in Saskatchewan in 2017, Moon Time Connections has grown to become a national organization with four provincial chapters supplying millions of period products and vital menstrual education to 195 Community programs in more than 160 First Nations, Inuit and Métis Communities across the country.
