MRT Corp, formerly known as Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd, was established in 2011 and is wholly owned by the Minister of Finance (Incorporated) [MOF Inc.]. We are at the forefront of metro rail development in Malaysia, advancing the nation’s connectivity through sustainable and modern public transportation infrastructure. In 2017, MRT Corp successfully delivered Malaysia’s first MRT line—the 51km MRT Kajang Line—followed by the 57.7km MRT Putrajaya Line in 2023. These projects marked significant milestones in transforming the urban commuting landscape. MRT Corp has also been appointed as the Malaysian InfraCo for the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link Project connecting Johor Bahru and Singapore. Civil infrastructure work is scheduled for completion by December 2024, with full operations targeted to commence on 31 December 2026. Beyond project delivery, MRT Corp plays a vital role in planning and designing future metro rail networks.
