Monash University Malaysia Genomics Platform (MUMGP), previously known as the Monash University Malaysia Genomics Facility (MUMGF), is a core infrastructure facility under the School of Science, that provides massively parallel, high throughput nucleic acids (DNA/RNA) sequencing and data analysis (bioinformatics) services. It was established in July 2013 as a core sequencing facility and is the first laboratory in Monash Malaysia to achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification. It works closely with the Pro Vice Chancellor (Research Infrastructure), Monash University, to maintain the Platform Quality Management System (PQMS).
MUMGP supports internal and external collaborations and service contract clients, both local and international. Annual funding to support the facility is provided by Monash University Malaysia, and is supplemented by income from external grants and contract sequencing. Since its establishment, it has over 180 publications and has generated close to 3 Tb of sequencing data (as of December, 2023).
