After significant expansion in the past few 2-3 years Murphy Utilities Ltd is now in a position to provide mechanical and civils services across the Yorkshire region. We engage upwards of 70 people, with a wide breadth of experience, supported by a fleet of 40 vehicles. Offering a full turn-key excavation and reinstatement service to our clients predominantly based in the electric and water sectors, our growing size is enabling us to provide consistent service delivery to all our commercial partners. This is backed by a commitment to investing in internal infrastructure, with our Quality Management System recently being ISO9001 certified and our next aim to have our Health & Safety Management System certified in accordance with the ISO45001 standard Currently we work out of four main sites, Barry’s Lane in central Scarborough, Burniston on the outskirts of Scarborough towards Whitby, East Heslerton on the A64 and Hessle, next to the Humber Bridge. Our Hessle-based yard has been a recent move and quadrupled our yard-space in Humberside, positioning us favourably to take on additional works in this region. We also operate out of satellite yards in Leeds and Brigg. Ambitions in the near future for us are to secure and enhance our unique market position on the Yorkshire Coast, whilst capitalising on our growing reputation for service delivery in Humberside and other areas of Yorkshire. We are also able to facilitate nationwide projects dependent on scale and requirement.
