At Murrumbidgee Council, we proudly serve a vibrant rural community of nearly 4,000 residents across Coleambally, Darlington Point, Jerilderie and surrounding localities. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We recognise and celebrate their enduring connection to Country, culture and community We are a proactive and cohesive organisation with a strong presence across our Local Government Area. With offices and depots in each of our main towns, we employ around 90 dedicated staff - 93% of whom live locally - making us an employer of choice in the region. Spanning 6,880 square kilometres, our area is defined by a rich agricultural heritage. The combination of temperate climate, fertile land, extensive irrigation and natural water assets, including over 100 kilometres of Murrumbidgee River frontage and the iconic Billabong Creek, supports diverse and productive farming enterprises.
