About Mahaweli Water Security Investment Program

Asian Development Bank and the Government of Sri Lanka have collaborated to fund the Mahaweli Water Security Investment Program, or MWSIP since 2016. This initiative focuses on channeling surplus water from the Mahaweli River basin to areas experiencing water scarcity.
