About My Connected Community

Developmental Educators (also known as a DE) are qualified disability professionals. Developmental Educators are allied health professionals, and are recognised by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) as a Capacity Building Support. The work of DE's represents the changing model of disability services, as society moves away from a medical model, and towards an inclusive social model. Our team uses practical approaches to support individuals, and their families, to strengthen their skills and increase their choice and quality of life. We strongly believe in the role of caregivers & community to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
