About My Future Matters Ltd
My Future Matters Ltd is a company with the focus of supporting young people with care experience via a trauma and attachment approach, with an enthesis on relationship-based practice to achieve good engagement for best outcomes. For the business’s first adventure we are established a semi-independent supported home for young people between the ages of 16-18. We believe that every individual is unique, and we offer a bespoke range of packages of support from low, enhanced and intensive. Although this is a semi-independent accommodation, we understand that not every individual has the same skill set or support, therefore a key element of our service is to take an individual approach, matching a young person with a mentor to create joint plans and goals to achieve independence. We pride ourselves on our well-designed home environment, and communal areas, as social development is key for independent living skills, which can be further developed in a safe environment. Within our homes be promote and create spaces to enable young people to build relationships within their new home which can support positive engagement, transition, missing episodes and is an important life skills. Due the recent pandemic the priority of having a safe space which offers opportunities to build a sense of community is of key importance, as it could aid in creating healthy social interaction to improved mental and emotional well-being. We have been able to create local connections within the emotional well-being service and professionals’ services, and are able to source mindfulness, grounding and exercise sessions for our young people to aid them in creating healthier coping strategies with daily stressors. Our trained and qualified staff, will endeavor to provide a high standard of support 24/7 and to equip the young people with the relevant tools to succeed in life. We work in partnership with young people, parents, and their team to support/aid them to achieve their full potential.
