NABIO is an international voluntary network seeking to make an impact by creating social enterprises. Since the charity was founded roughly a decade ago, it has launched more than a dozen social enterprises in Norway and Kenya together with local authorities, schools, and churches. In Norway, we co-founded a cafe, a cotton candy stall, and an e-commerce site. In Kenya, we have launched a brick production group, a health clinic, a greenhouse, a wedding salon, a chicken farm, and a weaving network. We have also ran a social entrepreneurship awareness programmes at a primary school, ran youth engagement programmes, and championed social marketing at Newcastle University. The charity won the Balliol Charity award 2019/20.
