Name.Narrate.Navigate

Name.Narrate.Navigate (NNN) is a trauma informed, culturally safe preventative intervention for youth violence. NNN was developed with, and for, the community in 2018 to address the significant, yet underserviced, issue of youth-perpetrated family, domestic and intimate partner violence. Distinct from other initiatives, it acknowledges that young people who use violence have often been victims/survivors of violence. Informed by action research, NNN uses creative methods to merge the neuroscience of trauma with Aboriginal ways or knowing and doing for improved outcomes and sustainable change for young people and the practitioners who support them. NNN provides psychoeducation and skill development for better understanding of emotional literacy; consent and communication; empathy; power and control; blame, shame and choice.
