NanoMuscle miniature motors are used worldwide in millions of cars and children’s toys. The company developed the technology from lab scale prototype to high volume production of an automotive grade component. The motors are based on shape memory alloys combined with proprietary electronics and software. They can be found in current Volkwagen, Seat, Audi, Mercedes cars and future BMWs. The company was sold to a leading tier-one automotive supplier.
