Advanced Nanorobots & Multiscale Robotic Laboratory

At the Advanced Nanorobots & Multiscale Robotics Lab, we take pride in having trained over 70 postdoctoral alumni and awarded 25 PhD titles. More than 25 of our alumni now hold leading positions in academia worldwide. Under the leadership of Prof. Martin Pumera, a globally recognized expert in 2D materials and advanced functional nanorobots, the lab has published over 900 papers, garnering more than 70,000 citations and an h-index of 126. Prof. Pumera is a five-time Clarivate Analytics "Highly Cited Researcher" and has received numerous prestigious awards, including ERC Starting Grant, two Marie-Curie Fellowships (EU), JSPS fellowship (Japan), and Humboldt Fellowship (Germany). His experience spans international research environments in USA, Spain, Japan, Singapore and Czechia. Prof. Pumera ensures robust financial support for the lab, securing ongoing grants of 7,4 M EUR value. Our lab, housed within CEITEC at Brno University of Technology, comprises 20+ postdocs and 10+ students from various international backgrounds. The research environment is enhanced by a spacious 2000 m2 clean room fabrication and characterization facility accessible to all group members.
