About National Indigenous Disaster Resilience

National Indigenous Disaster Resilience (NIDR) is a research program within Monash University’s Faculty of Arts. The overarching aim of NIDR is to enhance the resilience of Indigenous communities in the face of increasing disaster events. NIDR is creating an authoritative knowledge base, practical resources for Indigenous communities and organisations, and championing Indigenous leadership and knowledge within the Australian emergency management and disaster resilience and recovery sectors.
