NATURAL HYDROGEN IS A CHEAP, ALWAYS-ON AND ZERO EMISSION ENERGY And this is exactly what the world needs to speed up the transition to a zero emission economy. As of today, we are heading towards a world that is much warmer than even the 2 degrees being the upper limit in the Paris Agreement. Recognizing the severity of the challenge and at the same time seeing the potential profits to be made on the switch to a zero emission economy, we are investing in solutions.‘ Zero emission Natural Hydrogen is one such solution, as it can be used in otherwise difficult to electrify sectors such as industry, heavy transport, shipping and aviation. And the cheaper the hydrogen, the bigger and faster a transition away from fossil fuels. NATURAL HYDROGEN Natural (or Geologic, Gold, White) Hydrogen is likely to be the cheapest form of Hydrogen as it can be found and extracted straight from the ground, thereby eliminating the need to split it from fossil fuels (emission heavy) or water (expensive) With an estimated production price below 1 USD/kg, it is cheaper than even the most emission heavy Hydrogen produced today. In many places it could be as cheap as Natural Gas. Contrary to recent beliefs, Hydrogen does exist in a free-state, being continuously produced by different processes in the ground. And it turns out that it has been found by accident more than 100 times and all over the world while drilling for water and oil. One of these accidental findings is in Mali, where the first commercial Natural Hydrogen well is now producing 98% pure Hydrogen, used to produce electricity for a nearby village. Today a growing number of companies are actively exploring for Natural Hydrogen.
