NearScape Design

As a visual storyteller I focus on scenes that are near and within reach - what I like to call the "NearScape". I focus primarily on subject matter that is usually within reach. Subjects might include flora and fauna but also insects, wildlife, architecture, lifestyle, macro & micro, and sometimes just textures like brick or sand, and often close details like a door hinge instead of the whole door. I express myself through finding beauty right where I am rather than having to go searching for it. I'm a strong believer that beauty is everywhere and we don't have to visit exotic locations to find it. Part of the mission of NearScape Design is to teach others to see the beauty as well; even to find beauty in things we think have no beauty or that we don't associate with beauty. These are subjects that reflect how I see and experience the world. Life has something to say and this is one way I can be part of the conversation. A variety of products are currently available from several online stores including Amazon. These include gift items such as framed canvas prints, clothing, mugs and plates, puzzles, calendars, postcards, coasters, and more. I'll be adding new artwork and products on a regular basis. I'm also available to create custom work just for you.
