The Nest Holmfirth CIC

We are a not-for-profit organisation supporting families with children under 5. Our mission is to improve parental wellbeing and support early years development. The Nest is run by parents, for parents, and led by a Board of five female Directors. We offer classes, sessions and workshops to support parental mental and physical health, as well as to support the learning of babies and toddlers. Our aim is to help families get off to the best start possible. Our Directors bring their lived experience to their role in leading The Nest. Our collective lived experience includes postnatal mental health difficulties, feeding challenges, fertility challenges, miscarriage, loneliness and isolation, and navigating maternity leave without pay. This has had a huge influence on setting up The Nest, and the aims of our CIC. We are passionately committed to improving the lives of parents and infants.
