NeuroVeda Health formerly Center for Healing Neurology
Center for Healing Neurology was founded as an integrative neurology clinic in 2016 by board-certified neurologist, MD Ilene Ruhoy. In 2018, Dr Ruhoy invited ARNP Gillian Ehrlich to add Ayurveda, Functional Medicine and a wrap-around care approach to patients as the clinic began to serve more patients with multisystem, complex and chronic disease (msCCD). By 2020, with the pandemic in full swing, George Floyd’s murder and the indisputable climate destruction necessitated another pivot. Medical anthropologist Matia Jones joined the team to center food production, sovereignty, and connection to place. The Podcast for Healing Neurology was started to bring educational conversation to our growing global audience (>30K downloads in all US states & 92 countries as of July 4, 2022). As of 2021, ARNP Gillian Ehrlich assumed ownership and in 2022, brought the clinic to Westlake with the plan to grow a humming hive of health activity, while also branching into a non-profit advisory council and network to support the scaling of this approach for systems change. We can no longer ethically continue to practice medicine without the appropriate recognition in each medical visit of social and political inequities, the vital wisdom from ancient Ayurveda, the cutting edge modern therapeutics and our critical dependence on planetary health. As we grow our services, products and programs, these remain our guiding principles.
In September 2022, we began to unveil our refreshed brand identity as NeuroVeda Health. While this change is significant, our core beliefs have stayed the same. We are empowered by our new look and have made it our purpose to grow with intention as individuals and as a team. We will continue our commitment to provide the same, or better, level of care and professionalism.
