New Murchison Gold (ASX:NMG)

New Murchison Gold Limited (ASX:NMG) is a mineral exploration and development company which holds a substantial package of tenements in the prolific Murchison goldfield near Meekatharra, Western Australia. The wholly-owned Garden Gully Gold Project is our flagship. Centred about 20 kms NW of the town of Meekatharra in WA, it boasts a geological setting that is host to numerous current and past gold mining operations in and around Meekatharra, a production centre that has delivered in excess of 7 million ounces of gold to date. Garden Gully covers about 85% of the Abbotts Greenstone Belt (AGB) which is one of, if not the, last remnants of greenstone belt in the region that is yet to deliver a gold camp containing at least 250,000 ounces of gold. The AGB has all the same geological characteristics as the other productive greenstone belts in the region. It has minor historical production at several centres that are now in Ora Gold’s control. Ora Gold controls the lion’s share of this greenstone belt – an exciting exploration target that ticks all the criteria required for a gold deposit. Our exploration to date has confirmed that the area hosts gold mineralisation. The Garden Gully Gold Project represents an excellent opportunity for the discovery of a new gold camp in a region that has an established track record of hosting such occurrences. Meekatharra is a fantastic infrastructure hub, located on the main sealed highway linking Perth to the state’s northernmost iron ore ports. It has an airstrip capable of servicing international aircraft. There are two operational gold processing plants nearby, both within about 30km trucking distance of the Garden Gully project area. Ora Gold holds a 15% interest in the Red Bore copper-gold project in the Doolgunna region of WA about 900km NNE of Perth. Red Bore is located only a few hundred metres from the operating DeGrussa copper-gold mine.
