NEXTGEN

NEXTGEN is a networking organization that empowers young professionals and content creators of color to make meaningful impacts across all areas of Entertainment. We aim to create a space for people on the corporate side of the Entertainment Industry and those in more creative roles to network, create, and collaborate as we recognize how rare and important these opportunities are at the entry and mid-career level. As we began our careers in Entertainment, we immediately recognized how few people of color there were in positions of power and the overall lack of diversity throughout the industry. Coupled with this realization was our deep appreciation for the ‘Black Renaissance’ sweeping across multiple industries and currently permeating our content consumption. This inspired us to spark a change for our generation and future generations to come. In the future, we hope to host more mixers and screenings in addition to panels, think tanks, and community service projects. As we work on furthering our careers in this industry, we are not asking for a seat at the table, we are fighting to one day be the head of the table.
