The NHRC is a Ghana Health Service facility established in 1992 by the Ministry of Health of Ghana following the successful completion of the Ghana Vitamin A Supplementation Trial (Ghana VAST 1988-92). The Centre is highly rated as one of the oldest and largest research institutions in Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa with outstanding contributions to global health.
