NIHR ARC North Thames

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funds, enables and delivers world-leading health and social care research that improves people’s health and wellbeing and promotes economic growth. NIHR Applied Research Collaborations (ARCs) support applied health and care research that responds to, and meets, the needs of local populations and local health and care systems. The NIHR ARC North Thames is one of 15 ARCs across England, part of a £135 million investment by the NIHR to improve the health and care of patients and the public. ARC North Thames is the national lead for population health. This means that we are committed to delivering national impact in population health by pioneering and developing research, training and networking opportunities to inform strategic direction in this area.
