NIHR Bradford and West Yorkshire Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC) is one of 21 CRDCs across the UK set up to increase commercial clinical research and respond to the five pillars of the UK Clinical Research Delivery Vision.
Hosted by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and directed by Professor Dinesh Saralaya, our CRDC works with partner sites at Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust to deliver commercial clinical trials across West Yorkshire.
Our CRDC aims to enhance the speed and efficiency of commercial clinical research, bringing innovative treatments to patients while ensuring communities with the greatest health needs can participate in research.
Our key research areas include respiratory research, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, ophthalmology, child health, oncology, renal, gastroenterology, mental health, and vaccine trials.
Through partnerships with industry leaders like AstraZeneca, Sanofi, PPD, and IQVIA, we're establishing West Yorkshire as a premier location for clinical research, delivering patient-centred trials with streamlined workflows and collaborative approaches.
By connecting healthcare settings across our region, we're building research capacity, improving public health, and ensuring equitable access to cutting-edge medical treatments for all our communities.
