About NIH Toolbox®

The NIH Toolbox® iPad app is set of brief, royalty-free measures which can assess cognitive, sensory, motor and emotional function in ages 3-85 years. Using state-of-the-art test development methods, you can assess each domain in 30 minutes or less. Thus you receive the diagnostic accuracy of a full neuropsychological battery but in a fraction of the time. This suite of tests is available for administration on an iPad app only and has an English and a Spanish version. A yearly subscription for $499.99 allows unlimited administration and scoring of all tests. With one subscription fee, the app can be used on up to 10 iPads. This is a fraction of the cost of competitive systems. Please note that the subscription fee goes to support maintenance and development of the app (e.g., employing programmers and QA staff to check the system each time there is an iOS update to ensure the tests work as expected). 250 scientific leaders from 80 institutions contributed to the development of the NIH Toolbox tests to offer a suite of standardized measures which can be easiliy compared across studies and have been validated against 'gold standard' instruments. The NIH Toolbox is part of the HealthMeasures.net family of assessments. With the purchase of one subscription on the NIH Toolbox app, you gain access to 100s of other scientifically validated measures that are part of PROMIS®, Neuro-Qol, or ASCQ-Me® assessment systems. The NIH Toolbox is funded in whole or in part with Federal funds from the NIH Blueprint for Neuroscience Research and the NIH Office Behavioral and Social Sciences Research under contract No. HHS-N-260-2006-00007-C. ASCQ-Me, the Adult Sickle Cell Quality of Life Measurement Information System, PROMIS, Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System, NIH Toolbox for the Assessment of Neurological and Behavioral Function, and their logos are marks owned by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services.
