NIMS Centre for Genomic Medicine (NIMS-CGM), is a Comprehensive Genetic Healthcare Facility, integrating Consultation, Diagnostics, Research and Training in Medical Genetics & Genomics. It is a first of its kind initiative under the aegis of a private hospital, in Southern India.
We aim at providing comprehensive, accurate and affordable genetic consultation and testing to all in the disciplines of Reproductive Medicine, Cancer Genomics, Inherited Disorders, Infections and Genomic Wellness. Our Training division imparts training in various disciplines with the state of art technology research centre, having both dry and wet labs, facilitating the students to equip them with the latest and advanced technological courses, specifically oriented to the needs of the healthcare industry.
NCGM brings together patients, providers, and researchers to discover the genetic causes of disease and translate these discoveries into better diagnoses, treatments, and prevention strategies. NCGM envisages a genomics community seeking to advance research from basic genomics research to ultimately using genome information for diagnostics and targeted therapeutics.
As an integrated clinical academic centre, we are supporting the next generation of researchers in diverse areas including molecular biology, bioinformatics and precision medicine. We host a number of PhD and Masters studentships and fellowships, apart from short term courses and Internships. We also offer a range of educational activities to support doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals stay up to date with genetics within their specialist areas.
