NIOK Foundation

Our mission is to strengthen the civil society in Hungary through the work of non-profit organizations by empowering them in terms of capacity building. To this end, the Non-profit Information and Training Center (NIOK) Foundation has been working and developing its programs to improve the professionalism and effectiveness of non-profits and strengthen their relationship with the public administration, the business community and society as a whole. We value a fundamentally strong, bottom-up civil society. In line with its mission, NIOK has been working to strengthen the capacity of civil society to create value in an effective, transparent and sustainable manner. We understand the corporate value of working as a reliable partner in a transparent manner, the importance of trustworthy and clear communication and the significance of measurable impact. We have accordingly strived for solutions reflecting such values. Our wide-ranging non-profit network and services allow us to provide effective assistance to companies in terms of tailor-made, transparent, measurable and engaging CSR projects and programs. CSR grants, transparency monitoring, corporate volunteer and fundraising activities, or match funding – it will all be easier, more effective and successful with the professional support of the NIOK Foundation. NIOK was founded by the Non-profit Research Association in 1993 and registered as a foundation in 1994. Our work focuses on fundraising solutions for non-profits to enhance their independence and recognition. In this vein, we believe that CSR activities provide for significant win-win possibilities by also enabling the civil sector to meet the above needs.
