Nirdhan Development and Microfinance (popularly known as Nirdhan) was incorporated on 23rd August 2011, and is registered under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 corresponding to Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013. Nirdhan being a not-for-profit organization primarily focuses on projects to alleviate poverty and promote social and economic welfare by undertaking livelihood promotion activities. The organization was founded by Vasant Subramanyan and Shouryabrata Mandal, and has a Board of Directors that is diverse and broad based. Nirdhan’s mission is encapsulated in our mission statement that is to “empower the poorest to create livelihoods, boost income and inspire permanent change”
