There are approximately 117,000 people on the national transplant waiting list as of Sept. 2021. About 97,110 on the list are waiting for kidney donors.
NLKDA helps living kidney donors cover their monthly expenses during recovery. Full recovery may take 6-12 weeks or longer. By helping them, we are reducing the number of people waiting for a kidney transplant.
