NOlab Academy is the first center in Italy to deal with Food, Fashion and Design, which continuously contaminate one another through educational events, courses and follow-up meetings. The macro areas of interest are Food, Fashion and lastly Design, which constitutes the thread that connects and contaminates the other two. It is this very miscellany between disciplines that makes every aspect of the events organized an opportunity of specialization and follow-up impossible to find anywhere else. NOlab Academy re-dictates the Italian necessities dictated by the contemporary trends of the areas for which Milan is an absolute model both in Italy and abroad. Born in 2010 from an innovative project connected to the English concept of “Learning by doing” and created by the Communication Managers Daniela Ficetola and Alessandro Trabucchi, NOlab Academy today boasts an absolute record in Milan, not only in regards to the most traditional learning programmes, but also and foremost to the concept of interconnection between disciplines which is the very foundation of every research and study activity and which creates a place with the word “innovation” as its leitmotiv. NOlab Academy cannot only be defined as educational center though: the innovation of the building, of absolute design and comfort, is in its polyfunctionality. Nolab Academy thus becomes the location for events, a place to research and develop new projects or prototypes for companies in need of using a laboratory for support. A center of exchange for expositions and educational events, for different knowledges and cultures. A Business and Consumer space, dedicated to professional education and to the Food, Fashion and Design culture. A NON-space because it got rid of the old and obsolete school paradigms; because it is detached from all space and time limits and it is open, as Europe requires, to digitalized and detailed education, to subcultures that need accessible places in order to develop new dialogues.
