NorthCARD

The purpose of the North Carolina Academy of Research and Development (NCARD) as a non-profit organization is to foster and promote scientific research, technological advancement, and innovation within the state of North Carolina. NCARD aims to serve as a catalyst for research and development activities that contribute to the economic growth, educational advancement, and overall well-being of the community. Specifically, NCARD focuses on: Research: Supporting and conducting research projects in various fields, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), to advance knowledge and address pressing societal challenges. Collaboration: Facilitating collaboration and partnerships among academia, industry, government entities, and other research organizations to foster a vibrant research ecosystem in North Carolina. Education and Training: Promoting educational opportunities, providing training programs, and supporting initiatives that enhance the skills and knowledge of individuals in scientific and technological disciplines. Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship by nurturing a culture of creativity, providing resources, mentorship, and guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs, and fostering the development of new technologies and solutions. Community Engagement: Engaging with the local community, organizing outreach programs, and promoting scientific literacy to create awareness and inspire the next generation of researchers, scientists, and innovators.
