The Notwestminster community is for everyone who has something positive to say about local democracy and anyone who is up for the challenge of making it better.
We're a growing network of people who give their time and attention to improving our local democracy in places across the UK. Participants include local government officers, councillors, democracy advocates, community activists, young citizens, democracy sector and civic tech organisations, academics and others with an interest in local democracy. We're an amazing mix of people who inspire and support each other to make a difference.
Our volunteers organise a free annual event in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire for everyone who is up for the challenge of making our local democracy better. We also work to connect people who are hopeful about the future of our democracy, and who want to work together to make it happen.
