We are a forward-thinking social enterprise that provides an award-winning edtech resource to over 600 primary schools and is on a mission to make the curriculum accessible and engaging for all primary school children. In a now>press>play Experience every child is given a pair of wireless headphones. Immersed in sound, they become the main character in a story, meeting people, discovering places and solving problems on an educational adventure they’ll never forget. From a mission to Mars, to a journey through the Ancient Egyptian Underworld, through to swinging through the Amazon Rainforest, each Audio Adventure provides a rich stimulus for writing and delivers the curriculum in an exciting, engaging way. now>press>play: - Produces outstanding engagement in children of all abilities - Stimulates children’s imaginations and inspires creative writing - Raises attainment by making learning meaningful and memorable - Extends children’s life experiences - Helps children develop emotional responses and discussion skills - Makes learning fun and exciting Over the last 8 years, we have been supported by UnLtd, the School for Social Entrepreneurs, the RSA and Shell LiveWire. In 2014, we were awarded a place on the Big Venture Challenge, the high-growth investment program for outstanding social enterprises. In 2018 we were celebrated in the first ever Edtech50. In 2019, now>press>play was named ‘Best Digital Device’ at the BETT Awards. In 2020, we won the Best Primary Resource incl. ICT from the Education Resources Awards (ERA), organised by BESA, as well as being listed for a second time in the Edtech50.
