NPCAT Futureproof Careers

The development, launch and roll out of the NPCAT Future Proof Platform has revolutionised Careers provision with insights, support and guidance on offer to pupils from Year 7 through to Year 13. The multi dimensional interactive Careers Advice and Guidance learning platform affords support to parents and carers,teachers and most importantly pupils in our 6 secondary schools and sixth forms. The support targets the key areas identified by particular audiences to both inform and be informed on issues that are tailored to enhance understanding of the wide range of considerations that underpin decisions our pupils take on their future studies or career pathway. Our system leading platform gives direct support to carers and parents to aid and facilitate those vital family discussions about options at GCSE, Post 16 destination and University, employment or apprenticeship offerings. The monitoring and tracking of engagement and understanding of Pupils interests and levels of knowledge through surveys and quizzes are critical to inform appropriate interventions and tailored conversations workshops. The Development of meaningful PSHE careers modules and calendared NPCAT careers appointments for all pupils at Year 9 and Year 11 allied to those with additional needs has provided a dedicated wrap round to assure the pupils and parents that their needs are acutely understood and subsequently met. The facility for every parent, pupil and staff member to directly reach out for specialist Careers advisers from the NPCAT dedicated team of Careers professionals through the NPCAT Careers Help Desk is further evidence of the vision that has been developed by Trust Head of Careers Advice and Guidance Lisa Hegarty.
