NSCDA

The Nova Scotia Career Development Association (NSCDA) is a not-for-profit professional organization with approximately 600 members from across the province, and Canada. The NSCDA’s goal is to strengthen the role of the career development profession within Nova Scotia by providing both guidance and the tools to ensure members can maximize their potential. NSCDA members include Career Development Practitioners (CDPs), Certified Career Development Practitioners (CCDPs), and people working within the field of career development using a variety of other titles that reflect their positions, including: Social Workers Business and Labour Representatives Employment Support Workers Employment Counsellors Job Search Coaches Occupational Therapists Private Career Practitioners Teachers Instructing Career Development Classes School Counsellors Human Resources Staff Rehabilitation Specialists Career Development Specialists Youth Workers Disability Workers Managers of Career Development Delivery Services MISSION STATEMENT To provide leadership and support to members and the broader career development community in Nova Scotia. VISION STATEMENT Career development is recognized as a career of choice in Nova Scotia; Certified Career Development Practitioners are recognized as professionals; and NSCDA is recognized as a leader in the career development sector.
