Nuts for Life is Australia’s credible voice for the vital role nuts play in good health and nutrition.
We work closely with health and food service professionals, government, and other bodies to improve the nutritional reputation of nuts. This includes helping busy professionals, such as dietitians, general practitioners (GPs) and fitness professionals, stay up-to-date on evidence-based news and research on the role of nuts in health and nutrition.
Eating a handful of nuts every day offers major health benefits.
For instance, regular nut consumption is linked with reduced all-cause mortality, and a lower risk of dying from heart disease and cancer. And decades of research shows that regular nut consumption does not adversely affect weight – and in fact, may help with weight management.
Nuts for Life is facilitated by the Australian Nut Industry Council in partnership with Australian nut industry members, from all sectors of the supply chain.
We are funded through Frontiers developed by Hort Innovation, with co-investment from the Australian nut industry, and contributions from the Australian Government.
