About NYMHCAmetro

We are the local chapter of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA) for the New York City area. NYMHCA is the advocacy organization representing the clinical counselors of New York State. Our continuing role is to protect and enhance the rights of counselors to practice our profession. Licensed Mental Health Counselors, counselors in training, and other mental health professionals who work or intend to work in clinical settings and/or private practice are welcome. The only requirement for joining this chapter is to be a member in good standing of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association. We are committed to the advancement and well being of our professional community.
