ODDfest is not quite a festival, and it’s definitely not just a conference. The first of its kind at Lasipalatsikortteli in Helsinki, this two-day event (6–7 June 2025) is a counter-move to the creative industries feeling stuck—bringing art, business and society into one place, at one time.

Why Now?
Finland’s creative sector is in crisis. While the world is tapping into the explosive economic potential of creativity, we’re falling behind—contributing just 2.9% to GDP while other countries like Denmark and the UK push past 6%. Government funding for culture is being slashed (€17 million cut in 2025 alone). Local brands and icons are being sold abroad. And the connection between creative work and business is broken.
