Ohio Osteopathic Association

The Ohio Osteopathic Association (OOA) is a statewide nonprofit organization representing and advocating for licensed Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) across Ohio. According to the State Medical Board of Ohio, there are approximately 9,800 licensed DOs in the state, making up about 12% of all licensed physicians. DOs also comprise 26% of Ohio’s family physicians. Founded in 1898, the OOA has served as a trusted voice for the osteopathic profession and a partner in advancing public health for over 125 years. Mission: Supporting Ohio’s osteopathic physicians and students through advocacy, collaboration, education, and research. The OOA remains committed to promoting the distinctive philosophy and practice of osteopathic medicine while enhancing the health and well-being of all Ohioans.
