OpenIDNet is an initative that creates open source tools and APIs for sector wide national identity verification and cross-border interoperability in Africa. *OpenIDNet Platform* provides countries with a comprehensive set of extensible open sourced tools, APIs and services to implement large scale national ID verification and cross-border interoperability systems in record time... The modular and extensible architecture enables OpenIDNet platform to run on top of or along side and augment and extends the functionality of existing national CRVS & ID management systems and infrastructure. At the end, OpenIDNet will help to connect the underserved population with the emerging digital economy, ensuring legal identity for all and access to services by making identity verification/authentication and data sharing with appropriate institutions simple and a dream come through. It uses both blockchain and non blockchain technologies with highest security
