The OpenVT Organisation (OVTO) is an initiative to foster and provide open access tools for virtual road safety testing. OVTO hosts OpenVT as a collaborative platform for researchers, industry, and other stakeholders in road safety and virtual testing.
OVTO was established as a non-profit spin-off from EU-funded project VIRTUAL (European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, grant agreement No 768960) to make a sustainable future happen for the Open Science community and tools that originated in VIRTUAL and has since then spanned into other projects and intiatives (for example, the EuroNCAP Virtual Testing initiative).
OVTO hosts the OpenVT Platform (https://openvt.eu/) as a dissemination and collaboration platform. OpenVT is a Gitlab server.
All public resources hosted on OpenVT are available as open source to enable research and development that is transparent and collaborative.
All public content may also be downloaded without sign-up. To interact with the projects hosted on OpenVT, you need to sign up for a free account.
