OPERANDUM

Extreme weather events in terms of precipitation, heat waves and storms on land and sea show a high impact in European territories. The employment of nature-based solutions (NBS) to mitigate the impact of hydrometeorological phenomena remains inadequatly understood and uncoordinated at the European level. OPERANDUM (OPen-air laboRAtories for Nature baseD solUtions to manage hydro-meteo risks) is a European-funded Horizon 2020 project that realizes a multi-dimensional open and flexible platform enabling stakeholders and end users to improve knowledge in NBS to adapt to climate change. Moreover, the project aims to promote and exploit the improved/preserved environment while increasing business opportunities. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 776848.
