Slope Optimiser is intelligent HPC software running on the AWS cloud that designs topological optimal mine pitwalls and slopes. In the case of open pit mines, because of the optimality of the pitwall shape, the amount of waste rock to be excavated is substantially reduced (up to 27% of total waste rock volume) and in turn the cost of excavation resulting in higher profits for tens of million USD (from 11 to 140 million) and carbon footprint reductions of 600,000 tonnes CO2eq on average per mine.
