Opto-Biomedical Microsystem Laboratory

Research and Development Laboratory group: Opto-Biomedical Microsystem (OBMS) Laboratory was set up in the year 2021 as an integral part of the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering (BM). Followed by the commencement of Post Graduation (M.Tech) and Ph.D. programs in the field of biotechnology and medical engineering field subsequently. The major research focus of the OBMS lab integration of optics, microfluidics, and simple electronics to develop an instrument for biomedical applications such as screening, diagnosis, monitoring, and development of point-of-care diagnostics. Further Signal and Image Analysis find the inside information of drug screening and testing from the perspective of finding the bio-cells viability. Lab also focuses on the Fabrication of Microfluidic devices such as a device for imaging, an organoid on a chip, and single-cell characterization.
