At the Ouseburn Trust, we work in collaboration with our community to help secure a sustainable future. We work to support improvements of the physical, social and economic environment for all of Ouseburn's communities whilst promoting and preserving its rich heritage. We aim to improve the economic and social capital of the area by nurturing the strongest, most sustainable and vibrant creative and cultural cluster in the region. We have a clear purpose, articulated values and a positive outlook. The Ouseburn Trust operates with a transparent and multi-skilled governance structure that is elected from its membership base. Building on the success of previous projects, we also work with local communities to place greater emphasis on the social dimension of regeneration, particularly where that supports the advancement of the arts and creative cluster and promotes wellbeing. We often act as a trusted broker and facilitator, as well as a deliverer, of programmes and activities that offer a real benefits to the users of the valley and its adjacent communities. Ouseburn Trust is responsible for managing one of Newcastle's top visitor attractions, the Victoria Tunnel. In addition to this, we run a diverse programme of guided walks and educational talks across Ouseburn Valley.
