Open SU

The Open SU is the Students Union for Open University students. Our mission is to make a positive difference for OU students by empowering the student voice, nurturing an inclusive environment, providing a variety of services for students and working collaboratively with the Open University to ensure students are at the centre of decision-making. The Union is run by students, for students, led by the Student Leadership Team & Board of Trustees, and supported by a staff team across a variety of departments and areas of interest. Each student registered with the OU automatically becomes part of Open SU and has the opportunity to utilise all student services and get involved with volunteer opportunities throughout their studies.
