Over a century later, the company has kept his vision alive and remains a 100% Greek family company with a world-class distillery in Plomari, on the Greek island of Lesvos, a protected designation of origin for ouzo.
A high quality product, Ouzo of Plomari is the best-selling ouzo in Greece. The production of ouzo at Plomari Distillery Isidoros Arvanitis combines traditional distillation in small copper alembics with the most modern equipment in bottling, packaging, and storage. The strict quality procedures followed are certified by the Quality Assurance Certificate, ISO 22000: 2005 by TÜV Austria Hellas for the application of the HACCP food safety system.
Besides its dominant presence in Greece, Ouzo of Plomari has achieved success in various international markets.
