The construction of the plant in Torbalı-Izmir was completed in 2000 and production started shortly afterwards. The plant is situated in İzmir, Torbalı on 1.000.000 square meters. The covered area is approximately 85.000 square meters. Özgörkey Gıda is currently the biggest frozen food producer in Turkey by capacity. The production capacity is 100,000 t/year for potato products, fruit & vegetables, coated and pastry products. Özgörkey Gıda is the leading frozen food company in Turkey in export, private label and food service channels. Retail operations are commenced in the first quarter of 2008. Özgörkey Gıda is accredited by BVQI for ISO9001:2008, ISO 22000 & BRC certifications. The computer controlled hi-tech raw material storage has a capacity of 30.000 tons. The storage facility is among the largest of its kind within Europe. The storage capacity of 30.000 tons at - 25 °C and 0-4 °C in one location is the largest in Turkey. The company has a prestigious cold store client portfolio. All storage conditions are computerized.
