p-NET Emerging Networks & Vertical Applications

p-ΝΕΤ is a private company, recently incorporated as a Competence Center in the Region of Western Greece, established in the framework of the call for submission of applications for co-financing of projects under the Action «COMPETENCE CENTERS». The Action is co-financed by the European Union and Greece (EU European Regional Development Fund and EPAnEK 2014-2020 Operational Programme Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation). It is implemented through the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI). p-NET involves 21 shareholders representing large established companies, SMEs, public and private higher and lifelong education institutions, research organizations, consulting, and entrepreneurship support companies. We aim to provide 5G technological solutions to companies to promote and support innovation and entrepreneurship. Our focus is on strengthening vertical value chains and their sustainability. Based on the strong partnership between academia, business, and society, we aim to become a top international research and innovation center for 5G networks and beyond. The pillars of our business are: 1. Operation of modern up-to-date lab infrastructure and experimental facilities allowing for “testing before investing”, demonstration, and conformance purposes. 2. Research & innovation. 3. Technological solutions and services to Verticals. 4. Upskilling and re-skilling training programs and awareness-raising initiatives on digital transformation, green transition, management, entrepreneurship, and innovation. 5. Consulting services. p-ΝΕΤ΄s team is made up of a dynamic group of experienced Professors, Researchers, and Business Consultants, who in collaboration with our shareholders, strive to ensure that the planned valorization of the Center’s competences, infrastructure, and facilities will be used as a blueprint for the creation of similar 5G islands for experimentation and support of Verticals throughout Greece.
