Palliative Care Education and Training Collaborative

Delivered by Queensland University of Technology and funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, the Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA and IPEPA) and the Palliative Care Curriculum for Undergraduates (PCC4U), forms the Palliative Care Education and Training Collaborative. This collaboration takes a strategic approach to education and training of the health workforce and delivers programs for priority health care provider groups across primary, secondary, and tertiary settings. PCC4U promotes the inclusion of palliative care education as an integral part of all medical, nursing, and allied health entry to practice training. PEPA aims to enhance the capacity of health professionals to deliver a palliative care approach through participation in funded clinical placements in specialist palliative care services and interactive workshops. Informed by the community and for the community, IPEPA embeds Indigenous knowledge across all Collaborative resources and facilitates two-way learning dedicated to holistic and culturally-responsive care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their loved ones.
