Pardesi

Pardesi is a platform and community which celebrates, empowers and amplifies the voices of South Asian women and femmes around the world. Over the last two years, we have built a collaborative multimedia space rooted in powerful storytelling and community building. We strive to create a space which has the message of love and acceptance, and through our events, development programmes and working with other platforms and individuals, we hope to present a new kind of digital community - a supportive, positive community where collaboration is valued over competition. We encourage South Asian women to claim and find power in our identities by providing genuine representation and amplifying successes within the community. Pardesi currently has over 10,000 followers across social media and is run by a core team of South Asian women and femmes. We host social events, workshops, programming, and in 2021 we launched the first ever global mentorship programme for South Asian women and non binary people. In 2023, supported by GirlDreamer, we launched our first queer zine - To Love is To Hope: South Asian Queer Experiences.
