About ParentAssess

ParentAssess can be used to assess any parent. It was created by Sarah Lowe in 2016. Created as an alternative to PAMs, Sarah's aim was to simplify assessments so that everyone could understand the process and the outcome including parents with learning disabilities or other additional needs. The framework is based on the well established DOH Assessment of Children in Need and their Families (2000) , but uses a range of tools and tables to help parents, particularly those with additional needs, engage and understand the process. ParentAssess provides provision of training and software to ISWs, local authorities and private social work agencies.
